There could be a myriad of reasons Kona, why you need to wait for 6 days. The seller may live on the mainland or another island, the weekend coming up, if it is a short sale 6 days is not long at all! Or if the property is an REO (forclosure) the listing agent must contact the asset manager, who then must pass the offer on to the bank. 6 days is not a long time to wait on an offer response, especially in this market. I agree with Frank, follow up on Monday and see if there has been any word.

Good Luck!!

Hi Kona,

The owner is probably in Tahiti on vacation, or went to Samoa, or in the PI. No telling. Follow up with the agnet in two days and see what the status. A little follow up goes a long way.

I'm not sure how business is being conducted in Honolulu but, did the agent tell you why? are you purchasing a foreclosure? is the homeowner away? You want to negotiate your purchase as soon as possible. Waiting may result in additional offers.
