time we have an open chapter 13 on file. We are looking for a home because of the size of our family. We are no longer able to fit into an apartment. We have very few options, limited but stable income and poor credit. Rent to own was a option but seems a little shaky at this point. What are our options for obtaining a new home? and Can this be done quickly? We have only a month or two left at our current residence

I suggest contacting your local social services office for assistance with housing. I'm not too knowledgeable about this topic of conversation, but Chapter 8 housing may be an option. I would also contact Habitat for Humanity for an application into their program. Good luck.
