we got a second extension and we're closing sept. 25, the lender submit our packet to perris on sep. 3 since we're asking for down payment
assistance, according to the lender we're already approved (with the lender). Does anybody know city of perris time frame to process our packet? are we on time?

Call the city and see if they have a time frame. Call The number below and see if they can help you out.
Have your real estate agent get involved in this as well. It's his duty.
These programs do take a while to get funded. There is no way to know if you are on schedule, have your agent check with the number below.

Down payment assistance can take a really long time and can be really frustrating. The city/county DPA departments require a very complete submission package containing hundreds of pages of documents and everything has to be perfect. They also have all these guidelines above and beyond your 1st mortgage. Be patient it can be a long and frustrating process. Those city/county/state DPA programs make the money REALLY hard to get!
