What does your agent say? According to most mls rules, it shouldn't be listed as active when it is in escrow, in good standing. If your agent isn't responding, go to their broker. The broker is ultimately in charge and responsible. Assert yourself, politely. Sometimes agents drop the ball, something happens in their life.

Also, call the escrow company, they are an impartial party. Have your escrow number handy.

Gently assert yourself, people are busy, document your calls with an email, and if someone isn't available, move up the chain of command. Time is of the essence.

based on the few details mentioned i would imagine you are still waiting for formal loan approval. therefore i would guess that you have not removed 'all contingencies'. is that an accurate assumption? if so, and you have not received a notice to perform; you will. this will allow the seller to cancel on you at any time. until you remove your contingencies there is no skin in the game on your behalf. the seller is hedging their bet by offering the property as active again. should they receive another qualified buyer they may cut bait (on you) and move on. this is where your agent earns his/her pay check. it's your agents job to keep it together. you may want to consider a dual app with the listing agents preferred lender to show good faith. again, my reply is based on speculation.

Not knowing all the relevant details and as you state below, just waiting for final papers--what papers I wonder--ask your agent the question--he/she will be your best source of advice.

What does your agent say? By what you state your are cancelling escrow. You must have received a notice to perform meaning there is something you need to be doing and you are not. Nobody knows the answer better than you.

Are you in contract yet, if not the seller keep showing the property, up until an executed contract--signed by all parties--exists and deposit money was exchanged--they may have lowered the price in the hopes of getting a higher offer--therefore, if this is the property for you, do conduct your due diligence and move forward--what is your agent suggesting--he/she is your best source of advice.
