Help the community by answering this question:

Hi, firstly it will be invaluable to you to tour the schools in Glen Ridge (and perhaps other towns nearby if you wish to compare - including (but not limited to) Montclair and Verona. Tours of schools in Glen Ridge can be set up by calling each individual school - the two elementary schools are Linden and Forest Avenue. Schools in Montclair, by the way, will hold open houses for tours a month later than usual this year - Feb 28th-March 4th.

If your child is classified they will be eligible for speech therapy but it's a good idea to call the Special Ed department in the District to discuss eligibility requirements in detail. 973-429-8035. Also good to know will be which services, if any, are in danger of being cut in the next school budget.

As soon as you have a signed purchase contract on a house or a signed lease agreement you can register for school.

I always recommend that parents considering a move to this area talk to other parents already living here. I can provide you with some names of parents who will probably be willing to talk with you and give you first hand reports.

Best wishes and good luck.

It appears that your question may have been cut off-- if you are looking for an agent of your own, do contact a few local agents from different realty offices and interview them in person, then choose the one you like best--then go from there.
