I agree. If you don't have an agent I would highly suggest interviewing a few experienced agents to find the right fit. A good buyer's agent should represent your best interest, not only during contract negotiations, but also with assistance in your decision making process. A knowledgeable agent will really make the process run smoothly and help avoid potential pitfalls - at no cost to you. I suggest finding an agent you trust before you start looking at properties.
