We are looking at a few properties to lease option, and have had a hard time finding out how to go about it. Also, we have seen 2 homes that are listed, which state that the home contains 9 rooms, and we can only count 7.........how can we look up a MLS # to find out about any home, Thank You for your help, we have posted several questions here, & are desperately trying to lease option before the month runs out, because our credit is to low to purchase the home we like.
Vinny,
I think your best bet is to try a local real estate agent in that area and they can give you their Company website to search those MLS numbers, most company have all of the listing on thier website.
Vinny,
I applaud your efforts to take on the task of finding a home for yourself, and doing it on your own! Leave all that to a Realtor! Find one you can enjoy working with, have confidence in and allow them to take care of you in this most important search. A good Realtor will listen to what your needs are, and connect you to a property that will meet those needs. Best wishes to you in your search!
Hello Vinny. You can go to realtor.com and go to the advanced search section which gives you the option of searching by MLS #. However, the information that you'll be able to get on realtor.com will be more limited than what information provided in the MLS. If you really want to know what the MLS says about a property, you should ask your agent to provide you with the listing detail. Most real estate agents also have websites that allow you to search for properties and many of those search tools offer a search by MLS # function.
As far as the # of rooms is concerned, please keep in mind that a # of rooms is not the same as # of bedrooms. A 5 bedroom home could be a 9 room home if it has an extra room that may not be a bedroom. A 3 bedroom house will usually be considered a 6-room house, but it it has 3 bedrooms and a den and a game room, it could be a 8-room house. Until you actually see the house, you can't be sure about the # of rooms because the property description may not mention every room separately. I hope this helps.
Scott it correct, leave your search to a realtor who can address all of your specifications.

Vinny,
Scott is right on the money. That is where you should start. You might want to hit a local Real Estate company's website. They will most likely have a search page for listings. Good Luck.
Your two best options are to find a buyer broker who will represent you and can look up this information as well as pass on new listings as they come in. You can usually hire a buyer broker at no additional cost, they will get paid from the cobroke fee paid by the listing agent. you should be able to go to realtor.com and look up listings on your on if you choose as well. good luck Vinny
