still need to know what a Sheriff's Deed does, how it works?

Does a sheriff's deed mean they've already lost the house, been forclosed upon? Or is the house still occupied? Or have they been evicted by the Bank/Sheriff? Why is there a difference if there is "more than one-acre" etc...?

Horace,

The State of Michigan website has some information that may help explain foreclosure better.

I suggest looking under Stages of Foreclosure and foreclosure Q&A.

The redemption period in Michigan is usually six months, except in situations where there are more than four units; less than 2/3 of the original debt owed, multiple acres and/or abandonment occur.
