OR she is simply entertained by the diversity of responses she has received by dangling such an irresistible chunk of meat out there. Maybe she will come clean and tell us what her true intentions are.
If you have $600,000 you could buy 3 to7 condos 2-3 decent houses or 1 really nice house.You could also buy a couple of 2-4 unit buildings as well. If you are considering on holding them as rentals, which I would suggest, you can get a nice return on your investment.

With tight inventory it takes work and effort but it can be done.They can be move in ready or little fixes. It'll also depend on inventory, which is very low all over right now. Cash is good, but when demand is high, sellers will wait out a 30-day escrow to pocket $10,000 or $20,000 more dollars.
