we are or above what we r getting it for those r the 2 things we r waitin on the apppraisal and financecurrently waiting on financing from our rural development loan we r lookin at a house assesed at 166,000and we settled on 139,900 do you think the house will appraise at

Assessments differ in each community, however in Portage properties do typically sell near or slightly above their assessment. Obviously the condition of the home can significantly affect this, but if the home is in good enough condition to pass a USDA appraisal then the likelihood is that it will appraise out. If you're unsure, ask your buyer's agent for a comparative market analysis.

In todays market, it is anyones guess. The tas roll assessment is only for the purposes of taxation and has nothing to do with appraisal. Good Luck

Sorry, but I don't think any of us can answer your question about what the home will appraise for. I read somewhere that county appraisals are 25% too high, 50% are in the right range and 25% are too low. Your buyers agent should have been able to do a comparison for you as to the value.
