Have you ever heard of google maps? Just enter the address, go to satellite view and get a bird eye's view of the immediate and not so immediate surroundings. You can even use the hybrid option which will show you the names of the major streets. Technology is available now and can give you lots of information. Use it. It's free.

I live close to tthe area, so I can tell it is one of my favorites area but not the only one. It all dependes what are your lifestyle and needs. Orlando is not a metropoli city like Chicago or New York, and it is busier than Ocala or Daytona Beach. I can tell that when you are relocating, need to ask yourself if are you going to be happy living in your new home...my website is http://www.Orlando-Relo.com Thanks and Good Luck!

Max,
If you are looking in the Lake Sheen area, you are looking in a very nice although somewhat remote area. A little to the North east is Dr Phillips,A very nice area as well. Depends on your needs. Close to Disney, yet remote from the traffic and certainly Beautiful!

Lake Sheen Reserve is a gated community of newer homes near the back entrance of Disney. I think one of the biggest attractions is the deed lake access on the Butler Chain. The builder Beazer Homes did a nice job and the lots are spacious for a newer community. The only downside is that it's considered far from the main part of Dr. Phillips. Most people want to be a little closer to the Sand Lake Rd. and Apopka Vineland corridor where all the shops and restaurants are located but most the communities there are a bit older. The only new communities in that area are Vizcaya and Toscana but the lots do tend to be on the smaller. If you don't mind slightly older homes, I'd check out Brentwood Club, Bristol Park, and Torey Pines. If you want newer, then I'd check out Kensington Park, Vizcaya, or Westminster Landing. You may also want to consider Reserve at Belmere, Belmere, and Windsor Landing. I maintain a blog about the area at http://sworlandoscoop.com that's worth checking out if you're moving to the area. Hope this helps.

FIRST ANSWER

answered your previous question about that home on pineola. That neighborhood itself is very nice with a private community boat launch onto lake sheen.

The area itself is VERY nice, just south of Isleworth where multimillion $ celebrity homes are located. Just east is Dr. Phillips with lots of restaurants and shoping, and international Dr. with more things to do than almost anywhere else. Not to mention all the watersports along all of the lakes in the area. The elementary and middle schools have great ratings, but I beleive the high school is still west orange, though I've heard they will be building a new high school in that area soon.
