I grew up in the Reed City, Evart area with family still there. Sometimes it takes a local to find the right property and information that is never on the MLS or public. I looked this morning for land contracts within 10 mile radius of Reed City Osceola County. There were 9 homes in total indicating land contract from18,900 to 500,000 with at least 1 acre of land. of course, the lowest priced may actually be a teardown.

Most homes did not list land contract terms.

Jeff, Lisa is correct only a knowledgeable agent from the area would be able to assist with land contracts. The public website for that area does not include land contracts. While both Lisa and I have access to the West Central Association of Realtors website, someone would have to physically show you homes.

I would like to suggest including lease with option to purchase in your search. To my knowledge, only homes that are completely paid off can have a land contract. The lease would give you more options. I would also like to suggest getting a Buyers Agent to reprisent your interests in this transaction. Sample forms are available on the website below.
