Would you like me to find an agent to assist you so you don't have to go at this alone?

I tryed that live where you work progam, and i was turned down, because my income was note enough i make 53,947.00 a year and my son ssi is 8,700 a year. I was told that i had to have some one that makes a least 20,000 a yr. And i been on my job for 29yr i work at the V.A. in East Orange.
The place that i was trying to get is on High Steet the New Comdo. So you tell me what do you consider low modrate income and livewhere you work.

Margaret,

Asking for a seller's concession can be an option for you to assist with closing costs.

If you work in Orange and/or East Orange and are looking to buy there as well, the Live Where You Work program may be an option for you http://www.ci.orange.nj.us/lwyw/Live-where-you-work-brochure.pdf

Good luck.

If you can't get a grant you can try asking the seller to assist with your closing costs or ask for a seller concession to help cover closing costs and down payment expenses, its not uncommon today.
