property and said it didnt have a home in the area without central heat and air to compare to.. So i couldnt get the appraisel for the loan im getting till it has it.. Im willing to pay and put it in but its not even my house and dont know if its a good idea why cant they compare the house as if it has central heat and air with one that does in the area and just subtract the value of what it would be with central heat and air? Or idk i would appreciate some help thankyou

FIRST ANSWER

Your lender likely will not consider the home habitable without heat. It's actually a building code violation. Risky for the lender because they don't know if you will address health and safety concerns. Will your Realtor help you compose a letter that will compensate you for installation expenses if the deal falls out?
