The sale price is public knowledge. If you call the Cumberland County assessment office they will tell you what a property sold for. The value of a house can be closely found by doing a comparitive market analysis.

To know today's value you should contact an appraiser or a Realtor for a comparative market analysis. If the home has been previously sold or if you are in a disclosure state then a Realtor should be able to tell you what it originally sold for. On a side note, why would you care what it originally sold for, as that has absolutely nothing to do with today's value.

Hi Pam,

Contact a local Realtor and ask them to do a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) on the property. They should also be able to tell you how much it originally sold for.
