Andrea, FHA no longer requires a stove or refrigerator in most cases. The only time FHA requires a stove is if there was a "drop in" stove that is missing.

If I can help you any further, please don't hesitate to call me.

Hi Andrea,

There is no requirement to have to stove or refrigerator for a home inspection unless your getting a VA loan or in some cases, down payment assistance.

If there are no appliances and you're short on cash, you may want to consider a 203K-Streamline Rehab loan. There is no minimum loan amount and you can purchase all your appliances and roll the cost into your mortgage payment. The rates are the same as regular FHA loan so they are still competitive.

Call or contact me through Trulia so we can discuss your options.

Hi Andrea,
There is no requirement for a stove or refrigerator. There might be a requirement for a stove, if it is a government loan such as VA or FHA.

For some loan programs, this would be a requirement. But generally speaking, to buy a home appliances are not manditory.
