Hi May,

As the two earlier post state the tax's would be the same regardless of your citizenship status.

For a house assessed at 80,000 the annual tax's would be around 1,000 a year for Villa Rica, Carrol County. It would be slightly higher if it were Villa Rica, Douglas county.

Keep in mind that with all of the great deals on the market today, a purchase price of 80,000 usually means a tax accessed value of 120,000 - 150,000.

Douglas County Millage rate 0.03425
Carroll County Millage rate .02685

Millage rate explained on the Carroll county tax commissioners website.

As Alan stated, citizenship status does not matter with property taxes. Only if the property is owner occupied do the property taxes go down with a homestead exemption.

As an American citizen, or an Israeli citizen you'll pay the same tax. Property taxes vary from home to home, and can be found right on the listing.
