Hi, Gloria

Presumably, you have done your research regarding lease-purchase? If not, you may want to read up about it so that there are no surprises.

I currently represent a client who is selling his place in Oakland Hills. Because the market has changed, he has decided to broaden his target audience by looking at alternatives to move his property. So he is looking at straight lease, and lease with purchase option.

Some realtors, me included, will be happy to work on such options.

The late and renowned real estate columnist, Bob Bruss wrote about the pros and cons of lease-purchase options. http://db.inman.com/bruss/columns/column.cfm?StoryId=040302B…

Depending on where you want to go and how much you're willing to pay and how soon you would want to exercise the option to buy, why don't you start out on craigslist, for real estate for sale. Search "lease purchase" or "rent to buy" and I guarantee you'll find several possibilities.

Call/email me and I'll be glad to guide you through.

Take care.

Hi Gloria,

What you are looking for is not impossible but i think you are approaching it not in the best way.
If someone has a listing, and they let you call it and you make a private agreement with the seller, they wont get paid... you have to remember that most people here are agents and we get paid on commission... i personally do not have a problem postponing taking my commission until the lease is exercised but i would expect to get paid... nobody works for free, right? so you may want to rephrase your question :)
