We contacted Carla Beatty of Eulalie Salley & Company Realtors at 803.648.7851. She was extremely helpful. We found a place to rent in one day. Most of the places for rent are listed through realtors. You can also find a few in the Aiken Standard which allows you to view their classifieds online.

I would suggest you try your local craigslit at http://craigslist.com. Trulia does not offer rentals.
