are you saying you can't get into section 8 housing unless you move out of the projects?
are you sure that is correct?

if that is what you are saying, maybe you could move in with relatives to qualify.

i would never pay 600 dollars to live in the projects. if you can't qualify to get a loan for a house, you could rent a house for that 600 a month.

have you tried habitat for humanity? maybe they will build you a house. check it out.

If you bank someplace---that's a great place to start. You'll want to get a "pre-approval" letter with an amount you are approved for.
