Preeti, If you are still looking for a superb buy in Ridgefield with 2300 s.f. +/- and situated on 3acres, you can now buy a terrific property at slightly less than $500,000. Feel free to contact us for additional information. Check out our listing at 161 Old Stagecoach Road on Trulia, or http://www.161OldStagecoachRoad.com.

Have you found anything, Preeti? I know of one that is very fairly priced.

I saw that one too. The septic system is gone, roof is shot, the chimney has missing bricks, there is a serious leak into the basement, it has a down driveway, two dead trees about to fall onto the house, and all the appliances are covered in mold and mouse poo, and the drainage sytem is not in place, etc... We spoke to the bank's agent and he said the bank is selling "as is" and wants full asking.

You are better off buying a vacant plot and building new, it would cost less than to tear this down and cart it away.

One forclosure has come on the market in Ridgefield. However, it has serious structural problems due to termite infestation. Bank is selling "as is". I would stay away from that one.

FIRST ANSWER

Hello Preeti,
There are not an abundance of foreclosure properties in Ridgefield. More often than not Ridgefielders will have the resources to thwart the banks before it gets that far, but they do come up from time to time. I am aware of one possible one that may become available. I do get foreclosure property listings, but they are usually in Stamford or less affluent communities than Ridgefield. I will be happy to help you if you contact me through my blog site listed below. - Brad Kimmelman
