second guessing the one you are looking in.

looking that already is recognized as having a great high school
and take it from there. In other words, let that be your determing

The area that you are talking about is Barnum Woods School District but there is also an area called Barnum Woods proper. As far as schools go, you should take a look at the NYS website for that information. You can also look at school reports on my website at http://www.cathyharthomes.com
