Its a little hard to give a set number it really depends on many variables. Typically on an appraisal about 3500 for central ac and about 7500 for a basic basement remodel.

This is a very rough idea.

Difficult to give you a dollar value... so many variables involved. Here in the Berkshires, where many of our buyers winter in Florida, central air is desirable and therefore has a premium. And a finished basement really depends on how it is finished, and what it used for. In general, finished basements add considerable value no matter what market.

Good luck!

No one will be able to put an exact dollar amount to your question. A house is worth what a buyer is willing to pay for it. Some like and want central ac and a finish basement and are willing to pay a little premium for it but other buyers might not. The bottom line is that you go by, and stick to, your budget and see if it is feasible for you to purchase. Wen - info@wenrealty.com

There is no set amount that central air and a finished basement add to the value of a home. It is based from an appraisal standpoint on a paired anlysis. That is to compare all similar homes that have sold within the last 6 months and compare the amenities each has inorder to place a value on the added value of an component. how many bed rooms, how many baths, location, condition, age finished or non finished basement, a/c no a/c, garage and number of spaces, etc.

Also finished basements can vary greatly on the level of finish and quality.

You can from the home builders association get ranges of what improvements add to the value of a home in a area of the country, ie: Boston, Atlanta, San Jose, etc.
