Dear Vonnie24girls,

Home inspections are priced based on what you inspect and the size/type of the home. I would say that your average condo inspection will range anywhere between $200-$375. The pricing goes up as you add various services/tests (mold, termite, etcetera).

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,
Christopher Thomas

Hello Vonnie24girls,

If you would like in depth pricing and information I would recommend you ask this question on http://www.inspectionnews.net or http://www.inspectorsjournal.com. You will have many Inspectors from the all around IL answering your request.

The cost of an inspection can vary from Inspector to Inspector and home to home. I will warn you that an Inspector who is quoting you a price without at least learning a little about the home to be inspected should be avoided. Also, if an Inspector is throwing in all kinds of "Free" services you are really going to pay for it in one way or the other. Whether the free service cost is actually added in the price and/or the level of service is significantly decreased. Throwing in free services is not profitable and generally any business adds the cost in elsewhere. It is a common technique used to draw you in.

Good luck on your home purchase!

My rate is $295 and I throw in a free termite inspection. With the home inspection, radon testing adds $150 and mold screening adds $200. Hope that helps. -Inspector Mike Savage
