FLO,

BTW, It's not a "bid" , its an "offer" to purchase a house. It's one of my pet peeves since this is not an auction where you bid on an item.

How many people are there and how many offers are they willing to make each?

You are very welcome I guess you found yourself in a situation where it is a good house at a good price and multiple offers occurred including yours. It may be a buyer market but inventory is getting lower and decent houses at good prices are beginning to see multiple offer situations.

If you really like the house offer as much as you can...There is always another buyer. This way you would know you did as much as you could to succeed the purchase. You never know how quickly investor/ seller accept any of the offer.

There is no limit to the number of bids a homeowner can consider, but only one can be accepted.

As many as come in.
Typically once a seller accepts a contract, the other (or subsequent) offers will be for backup only.
Once out of attorney review, none of the offers can be accepted unless the first one fall apart.

FLO -

As many as come in! Until the seller accepts an offer and it is OUT of attorney review.. as many as come in.

Once a seller accepts an offer and until it is out of attorney review any offers go directly to the sellers attorney for presentation to the home seller.. it is the choice of the seller at that point.
