We are looking at properties to buy and one of my colleague suggested to buy either on riverroad section or the society hill section. Can some one please tell us the benefits of this section and the school system over here?

Hi Anatha,
There are many condominium communities in Piscataway and Edison. A lot has to do with the amenities and features you are looking for (basement or not, garage or not, patio, deck, etc...). Also depending on your commute, you might want to consider their location.

Anantha,

Both are great areas of Piscataway! - I would recommend taking a drive around different times of the day/different days of the week to see what you prefer... the community living (condo/town home), or semi-private to private living (single family home). You may also want to take a Sunday drive to view OPEN HOUSES in both those areas.

Both areas are close to shopping, restaurants, movies, parks, etc... quick access to major highways and downtown New Brunswick.

*Note: Many Agents/Sellers like to have their potential Buyers pre-APPROVED from a Lender first. This shows the Agents you have the purchasing power, and shows the Buyers you are qualified and serious when you present an offer to purchase. If you need the names of a few Lenders, let me know.

Hi Anantha,
I sell a lot of homes and townhomes in Piscataway over my 19 years in the business and had lived there for 9 years. Society Hill is a townhome/condo development situated in a beautiful section of Piscataway the "Nob Hill" area. It consitis of development style single family homes all of the similar type being colonials. The river road section is also nice but is street after street of varying style homes. Schools are great and nearby. I will be glad to help if you my help in house hunting.
Best of luck,

Do your homework first, then decide--other people's opinions are just that--if you are not familiar with either neighborhood, now is the time to visit both-- see what each has to offer and take it from there.

Hi Anantha, the best way to get your arms around an area is to spend time exploring it for yourself. I would be happy to assist you with that. For starters, you can find school information at the link below - look there and let that be one column in a spreadsheet you begin to gather your thoughts. Identify other priorities - such as property features, proximity to transportation/shopping, type of community - condo/townhome -vs- single family..... The process of finding a home is an exciting undertaking - don't be overwhelmed by the process, just consider it a journey and get a good guide ;-)
School Info: http://jeannefeenick.weichertagentpages.com/Content/Content.…

As I say to my buyers - I don't know exactly where this path will lead us, but I know that every step we take will get us closer to the right destination. AND, it is by taking each step - by visiting each property - even those that seem discouragingly "wrong", that your priorities come into clear focus. You'll know when you get there - you'll recognize it - it will be that "this is the one!" moment -- and every step taken is necessary to get there! Perfect, no, nothing is, but the best fit among choices carefully reviewed through an organized search.

My recommendation is to work with one agent - do not dilute your efforts by working with many. You will not get the full commitment of any one if you do that. And because the process of finding a home is a cumulative one, your agent will do her/his best work if she/he is along for the entire journey, able to identify homes that meet your evolving and refined view.

You can always reach me via trulia - I'd be honored to assist you!
