Hi M,

You won't find any real estate professionals giving advice on crime safety issues. We aren't allowed to comment on these issues due to fair housing and equal opportunity housing laws.

There are many resources you can use online to find the information you seek.
Simply google search for crime, safety, walkability statistics for a neighborhood or address and you will see a list of sites that can share a wealth of data that you may find helpful.

Of course the very best way to learn about the neighborhood of any prospective home you are considering is to go check it out for yourself. Go to the local Police station and ask questions. Visit schools, restaurants, businesses, and ask local residents and business merchants your questions. This will help you analyze and address your concerns.

Hope that helps. Have a nice weekend.

All the best,
Larry Lichtman, Realtor

A good way to get to know if a neighborhood is going to be safe for your children, is to explore it, visit community centers, daycare and schools. Talk to parents. Visit at different times of the day. You can also check any neighborhoods crime stats online at spotcrime.com.
