Nina,
You can also probably also find HDFC apartments listed with brokers by entering that under a keyword search of listings, or you can contact a broker in the area you are interested in that has some experience with them. I have fairly recently spent a good deal of time looking for and gathering data on some HDFC apartments located in this zip code for some buyers, who had inquired via Trulia and who needed details and expert help, as they were traveling with the Cirques du Soleil in Europe.
Private (meaning, the resale and purchase restrictions are variable) and sponsored (meaning very specific qualifications apply to the buyer for purchase) apartment listings are available for HDFCs, or affordable housing co-op apartments, through the Urban Homesteading Assistance Board's website.
UHAB works soley with these, and staunchly is opposed to the paying of any brokers fees in relation to obtaining either for rent or purchase an HDFC Coop.
