how do you determine value of the home?

on lakemere drive in southbury you have pricing on not for saleProperties#169 1295sqft,2 1/2 bath@$279000, #173 2300 sqft 4 baths @$324000.#179 945 sqft 1bath@$202000. my personal knowlege is #179 NO updates . #169 many updates plus it has a fireplace and 3 car carport. #173 compltete updates two fireplaces 4 car heated garage???

You can have comparable market price opinion completed by a experienced prifessional who will use comparable prices to estimate the value, but only a licensd appraiser can state the value on the day they sign the report. The way a homes value iis determined is by getting a full appraisal done on the property. This can be done by the home owner, or by a bank if their is a banking finance transaction taking place. An appraisal is the only way to get the true value of your home and the report is usually good for 90 days.
