thanks for the advice we have a good agent just seemed intimidated by the agent in question. we made an offer on a home it was accepted then when the inspection turned up serious foundation issues and we decided not to buy it the sellars agent made us wait the full 7 days for a release of contracr even though the sellars had previously signed it 3 days prior to our agent receiving it and held our ernest money 5 days past that. we did not find that humorous. Now the same agent has a lisying we are interested in and we are reluctant to even think about dealing with her again. Thanks

You don't have to hire that agent. You should seek out an agent in your area, let them know about the situation and let them handle it. When it comes down to it you just gotta' put personal feelings aside and do business. Good luck and happy house hunting.

Brenda,

I hope you find comfort and confidence in seeing that all agents have the same advice for you: FIND A GREAT BUYER'S AGENT! They are out there, and they will take care of you. Let the buyer's agent earn their paycheck by dealing with that other agent. The listing agent's job is to represent their seller -- not you; so find someone that is only interested in getting you the best deal possible. Good luck!

You hire a really good buyer's agent, explain the situation up front, and let the agent handle it from there.

Hi brenda

Joan's advice was excellent. Your new agent will handle it, smooth over any rough patches , and present your offer in the best light possible.

The only thing I would add, is, if you are fearful that you past bad experience might hurt your chance of buying this home, I wouldn't worry. Remember, the listing agent represents the seller now, and it is in her and their best interest to put this sale together, regardless of any unpleasant past experiences. If you feel that, for any reason, you are not being treated fairly, once again, your buyer's agent can handle that, as well.

Best wishes with your purchase!

FIRST ANSWER

Brenda,

Find a good buyer's agent. Then YOUR agent can deal with the listing realtor and you don't have to.
Interview as many agents as it takes to find one you feel comfortable with.
