Omar I will just add to make sure whoever does your checking for you checks the history of the property and not just the current MLS sheet. Homes are withdrawn and relisted on a regular basis these days so that the MLS sheet does not reflect how long the house has really been on the market or what the true first asking price was. Checking the history takes a tad more time but only way to access accurate information. We usually provide this information on each home we show before the client sees the home so I"m sure once you find an agent they will probably also do this for you. If not their norm then just ask. Also ask them to check price trends for 2006 to 2007 verses 2007 to 2008 in the price range your looking at. That will tell you whether prices have increased or decreased and by what typical percentage. These trends can be very different depending on price range and even neighborhood so be thorough. Compare area with neighborhood to get a comprenhensive picture of whats going on . We have been working in Drexel Hill area for a couple clients these past few months and I can tell you things are moving very slowly there. If your looking in the 250 price range I know of a couple great deals right now if your interested. Anyway best of luck to you. Debbie

Hello Omar,
The best place to look for that information is the MLS. I would talk to someone who subscribes to that service, such as a Realtor or an appraiser.
