Realtors may not see the property listed on the MLS because it is an exclusive. Also depending on area many brownstones in certain zip codes would be listed on REBNY not the MLS.

The databases available to the public are pretty slow about being up-to-date. Brokers have access to better, but not ideal, databases. If the brownstone had been listed for sale by a broker, your best information will probably come from calling that listing broker.

You can go on several web sites to find out that information such as http://www.Trulia.com, http://www.PropertyShark.com or http://www.Zillow.com. If you still can't find the answer you can always call a local real estate agent and they can research that information for you.
If it is easier for you just call me and I would be more than happy to look it up for you. Good luck!
