The USDA doesn't "approve" homes as much as provide lending within US Census Bureau designated "rural" areas. And "rural" doesn't necessarily mean farm country. Your Mortgage Banker who prequalified you for USDA financing should be able to provide you with the appropriate maps for your area.
Typically your Mortgage Banker will type in the address of any property you are interested in to see if the home is located within the designated zone.

I assume that you mean that you have met the income guidelines to qualify for the USDA Home Loan Program. Congratulations! As you know, you are also required to buy a home in an eligible rural area as defined by USDA. I recommend that you find a Realtor that is familiar with 13901 or 13850 Zip Codes and they can help you with your search. You can check the website below to make sure these Zip Codes qualify as eligible rural areas. Happy hunting!!
