how do first time home buyer grants work and is there a website where i canfind all of the information?

FIRST ANSWER
A plethora of programs are out there. Fannie Mae has a wonderful site with some great, free web seminars. The smartest thing you could do is call your local housing fund or community counseling organization and ask for a partner lender. Every community has a loan officer(s) that are known for deep knowledge of those products.
