Hire a local real estate agent that specializes in foreclosure property, they can guide you through the process. Feel free to call me or email me anytime, I work in the area and have not only listed tons of foreclosures "Reo" properties for banks but represented many home buyers of foreclosures.

Have a great day,

Start with a website that specializes in foreclosures and figure it out from there. Going through some random agent wont help much beyond what you would discover on your own.

Once you find the house, deal directly with the agent of the bank. This will speed up the process and save the bank comission money, thereby making them more inclined to work with your offer above any other offer of similar terms and conditions.

Hi Redwood
We work with many foreclosure clients and have taken advantage of the market and bought one personally as well. We would be happy to discuss the process with you and answer any questions you may have.
Not all foreclosures run the same path or requirements needed and demand for the property. There are also many properties priced well for a quick same not in foreclosure status.
But it does all start with a pre-approval letter from your lender.
Check out our website to search the MLS. If you send us an email with your requirements and pre-approval amount and we can send you a list of foreclosures.
Good Luck

Hi Redwood,

The first thing to do would be to talk to a lender and get pre-approved for a loan. Any potential offer you made on a property would likely need that included with the offer, plus you want to know hat your purchasing power is up front. You also want to get a good agent to help you find a place you like & write the offer for you. I would be happy to help you if you like - send me an email to john.barry@coldwellbanker.com , or call me at 323-810-7976, and I'd be happy to assist you & answer any other questions you have. We have a couple of big foreclosure listing agents in our office with new listings coming on the market all the time.

Thanks, have a good night.
