Habitat for Humanity does not give grants for houses. You need to check with your local Habitat Chapter and ask for an application from them. The Habitat Home owner DOES pay a mortgage each month and taxes and insurance, it is just at a different rate than the "average" home owner. You still have to qualify as well, the criteria is just a little different as well. Your local chapter can explain all of that at the time you go and talk to them.
I am on the steering committe for our local chapter but can only tell you to check out the national website and then search for a chapter than handles your county.
Good luck and God Bless.
