Go to the assesors office web site,

http://tax.ocgov.com/tcweb/search_page.asp

If you can't get the information you need online, give them a call, you will be surprised how helpful they are.

I know this thread is a year old but it comes up as one of the top searches for this topic. I contacted the tax assessors office and they just referred me to Willdan & Associates (www willdan com). I've tried contacting Willdan a couple of times but they have thus far been unresponsive. That's not to say that they won't eventually follow up. But I think perhaps our questions on when we get to pay less taxes is not a top priority for them (or for the county tax assessors office!).

I agree with Richard Littlefield that the people at the Treasurer-Tax Collector's office are generally very helpful. They should be able to provide an end date for the bonds you mentioned. Their contact information can be found at: http://ttc.ocgov.com/howdoi/contact/info

If you'd like detailed information about property tax, Mello Roos amounts, etc. for a specific property, you can go to the site Mr. Littlefield mentioned, http://tax.ocgov.com/tcweb/search_page.asp, and then do the following:

- Input the parcel number or street address and click Find
- Click on the Parcel No. That will take you to another page.
- Click on Parcel No. again.
- Scroll down to the highlighted portion and click there for detailed information.

That will take you to a page that provides a breakdown of what makes up the amount on the tax bill, including Mello Roos (if any) and other fees such as Vector Control, for the property about which you've inquired.

When you purchased the property, you should have received Disclosures for Natural Hazards and the TAXES. The Tax Disclosure is supposed to include any projected escalations and the "end-date".

you can call the tax assessors office and give them the address, however it seems all bonds have an open ended end date, meaning tney can be renewed.
hope this helps

Morning Ruth,

Thanks for taking the time to ask a question here...
You can pull up your tax bill either online or with your bill that was mailed to you. Once you've located either you'll see where it says Special assessments S2 or Q1 there should be a local or 800# to call. Just call and ask them, they'll tell you exactly what's left.
Hope that helps...

Best,

P.S. Check out my profile and see what others are saying about me.
