Go to the above link and input your address and it should reveal if a sinkhole permit has been filed.

The Eagles doesn't have a history of sinkholes like some areas of Tampa Bay so hopefully all is good!

Did you buy it at the courthouse without a title insurance policy? The title policy should have required a permit search I would think....

Good luck and hope you don't have any subsidence issues.

All the best,

So I am going to talk to my attorney to see if there is anything I can do to have this corrected (water issue) and have the sellers pay for it. First I need to find out what is causing it and I do not know what type of company does that. Any ideas? Thank you

Thank you for the information Alma. I ran a search at the above link you sent and there are only the permits for building, roof, pool, sprinkler system. So I assume none have been filed. I am going to look for a Sinkhole inspection company to take a look . I have a few cracks outside on the wall (2 going up from the foundation to the top of the wall, not really thick but not hairline. Also have a crack in a part of my ceiling that is about 14" long and a little thicker than hairline.

We bought from a private seller and went thru the whole process of title search, insurance, survey, etc. The one side of our yard and the back is constantly wet (I mean you walk and you squish and it is St Augustine grass). The owners said they had an issues back in 99 when it was built about alot of standing water and the association/builder put in a french drain. Doesn't seem to be doing much. They also put on their disclosure they they knew of no flood issues, sinkhole, soil flooding, etc.

google your county permit search and it may reveal if a sinkhole permit was filed. Otherwise if you see evidence of soil movement you can try contacting one of those sinkhole companies to come over and check it out.
