Cassie,
You have feel comfortable for whatever school your children attend. However consider the property taxes for that home in RLB. Compare cost per thousand in taxes and you will see Round lake has high taxes for a modest 150-200k house. IMHO, I really like Gurnee and unincorporated Mundelein for taxes. Figure out your price range affordability, look at prop taxes and school district performance.

Feel free to call me if you care to discuss.

if you like my answer, thumbs up and best answer me.

The website is http://iirc.niu.edu for the Illinois Report cards. You can also check out Greatershcools.net. There the public can make comments on the schools such as parents and students. Both are really great resources to have. If you have other questions, I would be happy to answer them for you as I do work in this area.

Mary Jo's advice was excellent. The Illinois State Board of Education has a great website where you can compare the school report cards of 3 districts side-by-side. School quality is relative. While you can try to compare to the best in the state, it is probably more helpful for you to compare to the other alternatives you are considering.
As a Realtor of 23 years, school board member for 12 and father of two I have learned that the public perception of school quality is often inaccurate. Good Luck.

Hello,
A great website for you to check out is Illinoisreportcard.com, this will give you all sorts of information about schools anywhere in Illinois. As Realtors in Illinois we are not allowed to give out information about schools, we can only direct you to where you can find the information. Also, Coldwelllbankeronline.com, has all sorts of listed homes with an "information " tab on every listing that will give you info about schools demograghics and neighborhood info. If you have any other questions give me a call or e-mail me.
