Hi Sara,

Zip codes 34109 and 34110 are areas where you will probably find that within the next 12 months home prices, depending upon national economic conditions, will be increasing while 34119 maybe 3 to 5 years away from price appreciation, according to a premier Florida economist group.

There are many aspects to be considered before purchasing a home, such as convenience to shopping, health care facilities, I-75, stores, restaurants and schools - just to name a few.

Without a price range in mind it is difficult to determine what homes maybe applicable for you. However, there are some truly great buys available in Willoughby Acres, Palm River, Victoria Park in zip 34110.

Another consideration is do you want to be in a gated or non-gated community. Some of the non-gated communities have minimum association fees, if any.

You mention Randall Road, which is actually in zip code 34120 - when you get into the Golden Gate Estates area, you can get a home on a "large" lot (1.14 acres). You will have your own well and septic system versus public well and sewer, this might be a consideration for yourself and family.

Today's real estate market does offer a potential buyer a wide choice of homes at very attractive prices and in some cases well below market value.

I just did a quick search in the Naples MLS, using your criteria of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2-car garage, in zip codes 34109, 34110 and 34119. You didn't specify a price range or type of home. So here's an overview:
single-family homes: 261 available with a wide range of prices, with a huge amount between $250,000 and $700,000
low-rise condos: 103 available, with most between $200,000 and $600,000
attached/detached villas: 75 available with most between $200,000 and $400,000
