The subdivision in Plainfield is Fairfield Ridge, but that community is idle at the moment. I agree with the agents comments on searching the better business bureau only because of what affect the economy has had on some builders in the area. If you are working with a builder it is also in your best interest to use an agent familar with the construction process so to ensure a quality built home.

Another consideration in your choice of realtors is that you choose one that is Full Time. If you do not have someone who is available 24/7, you will be missing out on some of the best deals. As a Plainfield resident and full time agent, I spend all of my time focusing my business on my clients. I review the Plainfield market on a daily basis, sending out the best properties to my buyers, which I can easily determine from my extensive knowledge. McNaugton Builders started a subdivision off of Rt. 30 and Van Dyke and after a few homes were built, pulled out. I have seen no progress there in the past year. I just now ran across your question as to McNaughton builders and as the other agent responded I to have worked with several builders in Plainfield but never with McNaughton. I suggest you do a litter research perhaps starting with the BBB. Also when working with builders I still recomend working with a Realtor who is looking out for your best interest. A realtor will ensure that all of your needs and expectations are presented and adressed with the builder. In having worked with many builders over the years and especially custom home builders I can offer insight to specifics that might be overlooked by most home buyers.
