All states have different guildlines so go to you states housing and financing web site. Find the guidlines then you must use an approved lender from their list. Good luck!

Are you referring to the first time buyer's tax refund which credits back 10 percent of the purchase price up to $8,000? If you are and you qualify for the tax refund, then any downpayment assistance program should not prohibit you using both as long as you meet the requirements. Your lender or credit union would be able to verify this for you.
