there and heard rumors about high mandatory fees and hoa's because of problems with golf club ownership? ap
Like I said, if $10,000.00 up or down in a year is an issue, Wentworth is not the place for you.
If you are a golfer then Wentworth is the place for you. It is a golfers paradise with only about 100 homes in the community. I bought a few miles away a wish I had bought in the neighborhood because the course and club are spectacular. It is a little pricey but would be worth every dime in my opinion.
Pete Said "There should be no mistake that there is a price for exclusivity."
My co-worker just told me that he joined Wentworth and right now they are so desperate for members they are offering this excusive deal FOR NON RESIDENT MEMBERS WITH NO ANICATION, NO ASSESSMENTS, NO FOOD AND BEVARAGE MINIMUMS FOR THE LOW PRICE OF 150.00 a month?
So if you live in Wentworth what do you do now that the fantasy has worn off and you try to rationalize the costs for the mandatory membership. (Foreclosure)
I can be an exclusive member at Wentworth for 6K a year less than Pete Not 2K And when Pete goes to sell his house GOOD LUCK.
I got a good deal on my home in Gray Oaks Thank's to this forum and my honest real estate agent for disclosing the truth...No buyers remorse.
Wentowoth is doing better than other private clubs in the area. The reality is that Wentworth is a private club inside of a small private community. There should be no mistake that there is a price for exclusivity. A faction of people esxist who bought in Wentworth during the real estate boom but could not really afford what they had bought into. If you look down at some comments you will see people complaining over $2000.00. I live in Wentworth, I play golf in Wentowrth, I dine at the club, and I love it. If you are concerned about $10,000.00 over the coursel of a year then Wentworth is not for you, and that's ok. This is a community for established people who see their home as a sanctuary and have no interest in fighting for tee times and waiting for a table in order to eat lunch.
Wentworth is a very high end, golf community. With it comes a high fee for maintenance of the golf club, and grounds. The good thing is that as a homeowner there, you benefit from that.
Your joking....The Golf course can't support itself so the 100 homeowners do at a cost of 700 - 800 a month after assessments while outside play pays half of what a homeowner does....Beaver was right buy somewhere else and join if you like.

I know many families there, and none that I've spoken with seem unhappy.
Some other high end neighborhoods in the area are Crescent Oaks, Cypress Run, Champion's Club (Trinity), and Lansbrook. Their fees are lower.
Let me know if I can help!
Do not buy in that neighborhood. It is a nightmare. VERY expensive and assessments of more than $2000 every year on top of the monthly fees. If you want to play golf there. Buy a house outside and get a non-equity membership. Much less expensive and then you will not have to try and sell your home when you decide to leave. Ask your self why there are so many houses for sell.... and yes I did live there. Biggest mistake I ever made.
The equity membership in the golf club is $6,600 yearly or $550 per month and that includes all your grounds fees. It gives an ownership position in the golf club and facilities. The HOA I believe is about $145 - $175.

The fees are about $550 monthly and most homes the Equity golf membership transfers with the sale of the home. If this isn't quite the answer you were looking for, feel free to contact me with any questions. Also, I can definitely show you any home listed in the community, at no cost to you, as your Single Buyers agent, which means I will represent you and your best interests and yours alone and not the sellers. Thanks.
