The cost is going to depend on how much damage was caused. Water damage can also be hidden quite well and missed during a visual inspection and/or estimate. If this is your own home I would recommend having a Thermographer perform an infrared thermal imaging scan of the expected and surrounding areas of damage. Infrared thermal imaging can help locate the extent of damage.
