I was out there today scouting investment property and there was a newspaper article posted in the clubhouse "community news" case that discussed the issue of property owners not paying the HOA fees. Because of this, the HOAs in certain condominiums have had to seize the rental payment directly from renters. In the meantime, HOAs have had to foreclose on properties whose owners have not paid HOA fees. There were workers sodding the entrance to the Highlands to improve the appearance, but the HOA fees there are at least $100-$150 HIGHER than other local condominium neighborhoods. Not sure why the fees are higher as the property did not seem nicer than others.

All Condo's in the Tampa area are selling very cheap. In certain areas it is a good long term investment because we will never see these prices again!

Good Morning,

These properties in the past were sold for a much higher price than at the present time. Consequently, these properties have gone into foreclosure or are in a short sale situation. A lot of the units need remodeling or additional work to bring them back to rentable or saleable stage.
Looking at the positive, it is a great subdivision and a great location. You probably can not get FHA or VA financing at Highland Oaks, only cash or conventional financing.
Good Luck,

I heard there are going to be some huge assessments that hit soon.

I have shown them and the complex is not up to what you would think about the Hunters Green area.

there are 24 units for short sale or foreclosed at this moment on the market. they are all cash sales.

If you are willing to wait out the turnaround, they are a good deal. the issues have been going on for a couple of years.

Let us know if we can help you.
