I am glad to see more and more people now realizing price will continue its downward trend. Feel sorry to those who made purchase too early and only witness their equity evaporating like dry ice under desert sun. To other buyers, congratulation, time is on your side. You now know who is your friend.

The price will likely fall but it doesnt have anything to do with schools opening, just the overall market dynamics right now.

In most cases if you buy house now it is available to move in by Oct 08-Jan 09. few exceptions are house is almost ready to move in. So, school opening logic may not apply well in case of new homes directly. It is possible that overall there are more homes in market (new +resale) and less buyers. Depending on how desparate builder is, you may be able to get a good deal. Good luck.. BTW, how much they are selling for now?
