Skylar, You certainly can obtain a mortgage with a 637 credit score....It would be wise to contact a mortgage originator to have them provide you with a pre-qualification letter, or better yet a pre-approval letter. The letter supplied with a purchase offer will make a great difference. If your credit is below 600, but above 580 I have a lender that may be able to help you with a mortgage. For additional information call me Dennis Brower (518)744-4241 Good Luck!

Keep in mind that there are other factors besides credit that determine mortgage qualifcation, such as income, debt, etc.; therefore for a personalized answer on qualification visit with any licensed loan officer. Be aware that a mortgage pre-approval letter is required in order to determine your price range and for any offers to be taken seriously.

Yes, you can skylar, as long as everything else is in order. This includes DTI, income, purchase price and your credit report cannot have anything 30 or more days late in the last 12 months. Call anytime with your questions at 914-299-0420
