condo in Bayonne NJ

Hi,
Is it a good idea to buy a condo in Bayonne NJ? It is a good school district and close to NY.
How will the investment work out after 5 years?
Thanks!

Hi Sayali,

Bayonne is a nice, clean little city. Geographically, it is long and narrow, and the commute to NYC can be rather long if you are located in Bayonne's Downtown area (which is a lot closer to Staten Island than it is to Manhattan.) As far as how an investment will work out after 5 years, who can say?

Hi Sayali:

Now is the best time to buy!

Choosing the right home to fit a lifestyle is always a difficult choice, I suggest to do a "Find Homes" search on these two addresses:

° 255 Broadway Bayonne NJ

° 63-65 West 1st street Bayonne NJ

I live in Bayonne and have no problem with transportation. I go to the NYC every weekend, no problem at all. We have buses, the light rail and the ferry is coming soon. I have no complaints about the schools and I have two young ones in the public. I use to commute to New York for work, took me an hour on the bus. With the prices today though, I would go for a house instead of a condo, more room. I moved hear from Manhattan and cannot complain.

It is close to New York but the transportation is not the greatest. Jersey City and Hoboken is more convenient to NY. In terms of investment, it is the same thing. I am not sure how it will be in 5 years but Bayonne is more family oriented as opposed to lots of people looking for condos. I work in this area. If you need further assistance, please let me know.
