American Society of Home Inspector certifies Home Inspectors and requires them to operate according to the standard they set.
Go to http://www.Ashi.org and enter your zip code to find some.
Some offers liability insurance also, which I recommand. You might also be able to ask your friends/relatives/realtors for referrals and then decide the one to use.
