I don't live in NJ, but I am originally from Europe and I can answer some of your questions:
1. Yes
2. Regular local or state contract (nothing special or extra for international buyers)
3. Yes, you can get the loan from US bank (it will not be an easiest part of the home buying process)
4. Have no clue. You need to talk to local realtor
5. Taxes depend on municipality. Yes, you can insure home

I hope my answer will help you a bit

Yes it is possible, taxes depend on municipality, some towns have higher taxes than others and also on the size and age of the property, your daughter should contact a local realtor when she is over here and find the unit or house she would like to purchase. A mortgage company needs to be contacted to see if they are able to finance, as I responded earlier they do require more than 30% down payment. closing costs depend on the Purchase price. Feel free to contact my e-mail for info on some possible lenders and properties, mia@villonrealty.com
